Starting life as an idea in a salon in 2003, our maverick of a founder, Shaun Pulfrey, took his vision of a hairbrush that detangles hair easily, without frustration or damage, to Dragon’s Den UK, (and after a minor rejection) left even more determined to grow his idea to be the award-winning haircare brand that we are today.

Our mission is to reinvent the way all hair is cared for, and that includes playing our part in building a sustainable future. Making innovative haircare in the most sustainable way we can is important to us, reducing our carbon footprint and the amount of waste we produce, so we can keep being brilliant – for our customers, for our planet and for the future. We don’t have all the answers right now, but we believe in making a positive difference and forever evolving. We tell our customers about the steps we’re making, including our recycling programme and moving towards using sustainable materials or plant-based materials, à la the Plant Brush, wherever it’s relevant, but we don’t greenwash or allude to doing more than we currently are.

We believe representation matters - from the hair types we celebrate to the bodies we show, we want everyone to feel seen, included and held through the imagery we show and the messaging we craft. From acknowledging balding and hair loss, to curly locks and dreads, we celebrate hair diversity and we believe it’s important to never assume we have included everyone.
